PROFESSIONAL AND ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Frank Torres serves as the Regional Divisional Vice President AMIEO (Africa, Middle East, India, Europe, Oceania), Business Transformation and Acceleration office and India President, developing and executing operational strategy in collaboration with other business functions as well as overseeing operational targets for the region. In addition, as President for India, he is responsible for Nissan’s overall business operations in the country. He reports to Massimiliano Messina, Senior Vice President, Finance and Information Technology, Nissan AMIEO.
He also manages Nissan’s Industrial Operations in Spain. Torres manages the relationship with Nissan’s Alliance partners Renault and Mitsubishi Motors within the AMIEO region.
Frank Torres joined Nissan in 2007 and has held various leadership roles in manufacturing, operations, corporate & strategic planning, and overseas program management. Alongside his current responsibilities, he has consistently been assigned to pivotal roles throughout his career at Nissan, demonstrating his strategic expertise. From 2016, he led Nissan Europe’s Overseas Programme Director’s Office, later heading Nissan’s European RBU East in 2019. In 2020, he took on responsibilities for Spanish Industrial Operations before becoming Region Divisional Vice President for Business Transformation and Alliance in 2021. He has a strong track record of driving sustainable profitability, strengthening market position and enhancing Nissan’s overall perception in the region.
In his previous role, Torres was responsible for turning around Nissan’s business in Russia and he has played a leading role in the reindustrialization of Nissan’s manufacturing plants in Barcelona, Spain. Recently, post the H1 Financial Results, Frank Torres has been appointed as the Head of Business Transformation for the Nissan’s recently announced Turnaround Plan.
